Angel Island's guardian can climb walls and glide, but being agreeable on demand is apparently a less reliable talent. Design Sneakers for Knuckles' Big Stance
These oversized shoes give a sneaker fan plenty to work with. Their broad toes, circular details, and separate soles are clearly outlined, making this a useful page for trying a custom pair while Knuckles stands firmly on the terrace.
Choose one small detail from a favorite pair of sneakers, such as a stripe along the sole. Add it to both printed shoes, following the outlined sole around each toe. The shoes angle outward in different directions, so the stripe will turn differently on each side.
Try red uppers with yellow circles and dark gray soles. Keep the terrace pale so the new footwear remains easy to pick out beneath the gloves.
Build a Block Pattern Around Knuckles
Try teal blocks with a darker blue zigzag and a red Knuckles. Yellow rings will remain distinct from the angular pattern surrounding them.

Give Knuckles a Comic-Book Burst of Speed
That enormous loop already makes this run feel anything but ordinary. To give Knuckles a little extra comic-book motion, you could add a few short speed lines trailing behind his shoes, rather than drawing another obstacle on the road.
A red Knuckles against a light gray track will keep the running figure prominent, with blue in the open sky. The loop can remain fully visible behind him, showing just how unusual this stretch of road is.
Place the new lines outside the shoe outlines and point them back along the track. Leave a gap between each line and the shoe itself, so the marks read as a suggested trail rather than extra laces or pieces of the sole.
