Licensing Policy

ColorwithAnne provides free coloring pages for personal, non-commercial, and educational use. Free access does not mean that the resources are in the public domain or available for unrestricted use.

This policy explains the permissions and restrictions that apply to downloadable PDFs and coloring page images (“Resources”). It forms part of the Terms & Conditions.

1. Scope of the License

Subject to this policy and applicable third-party rights, ColorwithAnne grants a limited, non-exclusive license to download, print, and use the Resources for the purposes described below.

Downloading or coloring a Resource does not transfer ownership of the underlying artwork. Except for the sharing permissions expressly granted below, this license does not permit sublicensing or redistribution.

2. Permitted Uses

Resources may be used for:

Personal and household activities: Download and print copies for personal coloring, family activities, or gifts that are not sold.
Classroom and educational activities: Teachers and educators may print and distribute free paper copies directly to students for lessons, homework, and classroom activities.
Community activities: Libraries, community groups, and charitable organizations may provide free printed copies during non-commercial activities.
Digital coloring: Files may be opened in a drawing application and colored for personal use.
Printing adjustments: Resources may be resized or adjusted to fit paper, provided copyright notices and website credits remain visible.

Teachers may print enough copies for their own classes. Ordinary employment as a teacher does not, by itself, make classroom use commercial. Selling the Resources, charging separately for access to them, or including them in products offered for sale is not permitted.

3. Sharing and Linking Back

Sharing ColorwithAnne resources with others is welcome.

Teachers and educators may share files directly with their students and families through private classroom platforms or closed class groups for free educational use. Website credits must remain visible, and a link to the original ColorwithAnne page must accompany the files. Recipients may use these files under this policy but may not publicly redistribute them.

Websites, blogs, and social media accounts may feature a small selection of preview images to recommend the Resources, provided the images retain their website credits and include a clear link to the relevant page on ColorwithAnne.com. This permission also applies to otherwise monetized websites or accounts, provided the Resources are not sold, placed behind a paywall, or used to imply endorsement.

These permissions do not cover publicly hosting PDF downloads, republishing entire collections, or building a separate library of the Resources. For broader use, please contact [email protected].

4. Sharing Completed Colorings

Photographs of personally completed colorings may be shared on personal, non-commercial social media accounts, subject to applicable third-party rights.

The photograph must show the completed coloring rather than provide a clean, reusable copy of the original design. Existing website credits must not be deliberately removed or obscured.

A link to the source page is appreciated. Sharing a completed coloring does not authorize selling the underlying design, distributing printable files beyond the permissions in Section 3, or claiming authorship of the original artwork.

5. Prohibited Uses

Except as expressly permitted by this policy or separately authorized in writing by the relevant rights holders, Resources must not be:

Sold as digital files, printed sheets, coloring books, activity packs, or other products.
Included in paid downloads, memberships, merchandise, or print-on-demand products.
Uploaded, republished, or redistributed outside the sharing permissions in Section 3.
Used in advertisements, business branding, or products intended for sale. Featuring preview images to recommend ColorwithAnne as permitted in Section 3 is allowed.
Presented as original work created by the downloader.
Altered to remove copyright notices, logos, or website credits.
Collected through automated bulk downloading or scraping.

Coloring, tracing, resizing, or otherwise modifying a Resource does not remove these restrictions.

6. Third-Party Characters and Rights

Third-party characters, trademarks, brand names, and other protected material remain subject to the rights of their respective owners.

ColorwithAnne is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any featured brand or franchise unless expressly stated.

This license covers only rights that ColorwithAnne is entitled to grant. It does not grant ownership of third-party material or replace any permission required from the relevant rights holder. The availability of a Resource does not establish that every proposed use is authorized.

All permissions in this policy, including sharing permissions, are subject to these limitations.

7. Additional Permissions and Copyright Concerns

For a use not covered by this policy, contact [email protected] before proceeding. Include the Resource URL and a description of the intended use. Additional permission is not granted unless confirmed in writing.

ColorwithAnne cannot authorize uses of third-party material where the necessary rights are not held.

Nothing in this policy limits uses independently permitted by applicable law.

8. Updates and Contact

Changes to this policy will be published on this page with a revised date. Updates will not retroactively make a previously permitted, completed use a violation.
