The Madrigal household is busy enough before the house itself joins in. A tile shifts, a door opens, and Mirabel finds herself surrounded by relatives whose gifts make ordinary family expectations rather complicated. Anyone who has struggled to explain themselves over a lively family meal may recognize something beneath the magic.

Encanto coloring pages leave room to enjoy those personalities at a gentler pace. A favorite character can recall a song, but also a feeling: wanting to help, needing a break, or hoping to be understood. That is often where a conversation about the film becomes a conversation about someone much closer to home.

Coloring Ideas for Encanto Pages

Try one of these coloring ideas, or use them as a starting point for your own.

Let the Colors Travel Around the Flower Arch

Follow the curve above Isabela with a gradual change from yellow flowers to peach, pink, and violet. Repeat each color on a few neighboring blossoms so the transition feels continuous. Give the scattered petals nearby shades, then keep her flowing dress mostly one soft color. The changing flowers will draw the eye along the same sweeping curve as her raised arm.

Make Feathers and Fur Feel Different

Use Antonio’s animal companions to try two kinds of pencil marks. Follow the toucan’s feather outlines with longer strokes, keeping its beak smoothly colored. On the capybara, lay down a light base and add short, scattered strokes where the fur details appear. Leave some base color showing between them. Smooth color on Antonio’s clothing will help the two animal textures stand out.

Give the Butterfly the Brightest Colors

Choose two vivid colors for the patterned wings of the butterfly on Mirabel’s hand. Match corresponding spaces on each wing, working from the body outward. Use softer colors for her dress and keep the space around her outstretched hand white. That small patch of bright, carefully paired color will make the butterfly feel like the focus of her attention.

Let the Candles Light Bruno’s Robe

Build a little candlelit scene around chibi Bruno. Color each flame pale yellow with a touch of orange near its outer edge, then add a faint yellow halo just beyond the outline. On the robe folds closest to the candles, use lighter pressure and a little warm yellow. Deepen the robe color farther from the flames so the nearby candles appear to cast the light.

Turn Mirabel’s Wave into a Welcome

Make this waving portrait into a cheerful welcome for a bedroom door. Before coloring, pencil a short greeting in the white space beside Mirabel’s raised hand, checking that the letters have room around her curls. Color the greeting to match one of her dress ruffles. Her open hand supplies the gesture, so a simple “Hello!” is enough to finish the page.

Give Mirabel Your Signature Accessories

Mirabel’s hand beside her curl draws attention to her hair, glasses, and earrings. Use those details to give this portrait a little of your own style: color her glasses like a pair you wear or would love to try, then choose a coordinating color for the earrings. Repeat that accent along one scalloped clothing edge to connect the accessories with the rest of her outfit.

Invent a Special for Camilo’s Platter

Imagine what the stacked round food on Camilo’s platter might taste like, then choose colors for your invented dish. Toasted gold with darker edges could suggest something crisp; pink and cream could suggest a sweet treat. Color the smaller pieces to suit your choice, and write a playful menu name in the blank space. The dish is yours to invent—the drawing leaves its exact type open.

Build a Color Rhythm into Dolores’s Skirt

Use the repeated horizontal bands of Dolores’s skirt to make a deliberate color pattern. Pick three colors and repeat them in the same order from the waistband downward, letting the different band widths change how much of each color appears. Use your favorite of the three for her oversized bow. That repeated accent ties the top of the picture to the striped skirt.
