UnicornFairyCrownWings Of FireHow To Train Your Dragon

For anyone who has ever wished a unicorn could fly, an alicorn settles the matter rather beautifully. The horn remains, but now there are wings to fold against its sides or spread into the air. A fence would hardly present a problem, and neither would the long way around a mountain.

Alicorn coloring pages leave that lovely possibility open. The creature feels at home in the sort of story that continues after the book closes, when a child is still wondering where it went next. Once flying is allowed, even deciding where it might sleep becomes an interesting question.

Coloring Ideas for Alicorn Pages

Try one of these coloring ideas, or use them as a starting point for your own.

Design a Cottage That Leaves Room for Wings

The cottage has a round window, curved doorway, and winding path, with the alicorn standing close by. Imagine how a home would work for a visitor who needs space to turn with wings attached.

Sketch an extra feature beside the page: a wider entrance, a sheltered landing place, or a porch with room to spread out. Choose one and carry its shape into the cottage’s colors or trim. The design begins with a practical question, even if its future resident is entirely magical.

Change the Alicorn inside the Royal Mirror

The standing alicorn and its reflection offer two connected versions of the same character. Treat the mirror as enchanted and decide what transformation it reveals.

The reflection might have a star-patterned mane, a more elaborate crown, or colors that suggest a different season. Keep a few details identical so the relationship remains obvious. Work on the real-world figure first, then let the mirror version introduce the changes. The frame’s ornament can hint at the kind of magic involved.

Separate Water from Crystal

The waterfall flows between angular crystals, while lily pads rest in the pool below. Give those surfaces different kinds of movement.

Follow the falling water with long, gentle marks and keep the crystal colors divided into sharper planes. The pool can take broader, quieter strokes. A pale alicorn will remain visible among all three textures if the nearest crystals carry slightly stronger tones. Work through one material at a time so the scene gradually gains its mix of flow, stillness, and hard edges.

Design a Fleet of Fantasy Balloons

The alicorn flies among balloons of different sizes, each with broad panels waiting for a pattern. Imagine that they belong to different visitors traveling to the same celebration.

Give one balloon striped panels and another a simpler repeated motif. Keep a small shared detail, such as a gold band near each basket, to connect the fleet. The alicorn’s mane can repeat that accent. From a distance, the sky should feel like a gathering with several distinct arrivals.

A Heart Lantern That Catches Window Light

The heart lantern hangs below the flying alicorn against a star-filled sky. Use its shape for a little translucent window decoration.

Trace a simplified heart frame onto card, cut away the middle, and glue colored tissue paper behind the opening. Add the lantern’s top and lower ornament as small card pieces. Hang it near a window and notice how its color changes with the light. On the original page, repeat that color faintly along the nearest hoof and lower edge of the mane.

Design Four Matching Rain Boots

Four boots give this alicorn a slightly larger footwear decision than most rainy-day walkers. Choose a small pattern that can repeat clearly across the set.

Try hearts near the cuffs, contrasting soles, or a stripe carried around each boot. Keep the pattern’s position consistent while allowing the boot shapes to turn with the legs. The umbrella and rainbow can pick up one of the accent colors. By the time the puddles are finished, the outfit should look coordinated from front hooves to back.

Make a Bookplate for a Favorite Fantasy Book

The alicorn reads beneath a tree with birds, flowers, and a lantern nearby. This scene suits the inside cover of a treasured fantasy book.

Print it small enough to fit the available space, color it, and trim a neat rectangle around the picture. Add an ownership line below the scene before attaching it inside a book you own. The little reader becomes the first illustration encountered whenever the cover opens, with room for a name that has an actual purpose.

Create the Guardian’s Emblem

The alicorn stands before an ornate gate with banners and a shield above it. Decide what the guardian protects, then design a simple emblem to represent that responsibility.

A flower could stand for an enchanted garden, while a star might represent travelers finding their way home. Draw the emblem separately before adapting it to the shield or banners. Repeat one of its colors in the alicorn’s accessories. The gate and guardian will look as though they belong to the same realm.
