A little girl choosing her own outfit may have a perfectly clear reason for every decision, even when the result surprises the adult waiting by the door. A favorite dress is important; so are the shoes that happen to be comfortable today. Getting ready can reveal quite a personality.
Little Girl coloring pages invite that same sense of individuality. A child may recognize something familiar in a face or imagine a character with tastes entirely different from her own. Giving the girl a name can be the beginning of a story, especially when there are already firm opinions about where she is going.

Coloring Ideas for Little Girl Pages
Try one of these coloring ideas, or use them as a starting point for your own.
Give the Campfire a Gentle Glow
Let the campfire warm one small part of the telescope campsite. Color the flames yellow and orange, then lightly carry a little orange onto the nearest ground and the sides of nearby stones facing the fire. Use cool blues and greens farther away, with a deep blue sky around the moon and stars. That warm patch gives the girl’s nighttime exploring a cozy base.
Try an Outfit in the Mirror
Choose a dress color for the cowgirl’s dress-up session, then find the matching parts in her reflection and repeat it there. Follow one detail at a time, such as a ruffle or bow, to keep the outfit consistent. Choose boots and a hat from the surrounding accessories to complete your color scheme, as though you were helping her decide what to wear.
Choose Which Strawberries Are Ready
Give the strawberry patch berries at different stages: pale green, blush pink, and rich red. Make the berries in the girl’s basket red, then choose a few more among the leaves that look ready to pick. Once you finish, trace an imaginary picking route with your finger, finding those ripe berries while leaving the paler ones to grow beside the bunny.
Let Her Palette Explain the Painting
Choose three or four colors for the little artist’s landscape and put those same colors into the paint wells on her palette. Then use them across the hills, trees, sun, and sky on the canvas. You can blend two gently where you want another shade. The palette becomes a small clue to how she made her picture, linking the tools in her hand to the work on her easel.
Make a Keepsake of Her Performance
Turn the ballerina’s stage into a souvenir of an imagined performance. Color her ruffled tutu in a favorite color and pick a curtain color that helps it stand out. In an open space between the stars, add a short handwritten performance name and a date of your choosing. The curtains already frame the dancer, so the finished page can go straight onto a bedroom wall.
Weave a Ribbon of Color Through Her Tail
Use the mermaid girl’s rows of scales to build a flowing color pattern. Start with turquoise near her waist, shift through blue, and finish with violet toward the fin. Let neighboring colors mingle for a row or two instead of changing all at once. Keep the nearby sea turtle’s shell in quieter greens or browns so the patterned tail remains easy to follow through the busy reef.
Save the White for Snow
Leave most of the snowman, snowdrifts, and snowy pine branches as white paper. Add pale blue only along their lower edges and tucked beneath the branches to suggest shadow. As you fill in the green needles and the girl’s winter clothes, the untouched snow will become more noticeable. A brightly striped scarf gives your eye a cheerful place to land in all that white.
Invent a Cupcake Tasting Menu
Use the strawberries, blueberries, and cherries on the counter as inspiration for three imaginary frosting flavors. Give each flavor its own color, then divide the cupcakes on the stand and plate among them. Choose which flavor the little chef is piping onto her cupcake. When the page is finished, describe your tiny tasting menu and decide which cupcake you would try first.
